Overview
WIC is a nutrition program that provides nutrition and health education, healthy food, and other services to families in Shawnee County who qualify. WIC's goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, new moms, and kids under age five, healthy.
Eligible Participants
- Breastfeeding mothers, up to baby's first birthday
- Infants and children under five years old
- Non-breastfeeding mothers, up to six months after baby's birth
- Pregnant women

Please Bring to Your Appointment:
Proof of Identification for Caregiver, such as:
- Photo ID
- Driver's license
- School ID
- Birth certificate
- KS Medicaid card
- Passport
- Military ID
Proof of Identification for Child, such as:
- Shot/immunization records
- Birth certificate
- Foster care/adoption papers
- KS Medicaid card
Proof of residency, such as:
- Business envelope that was mailed to you
- Utility bill
- Rent receipts
Proof of Household Income for all People Living in Your House, such as:
- Paycheck stub, within 30 days from current job
- DCF benefit letter for SNAP and cash assistance
- Medicaid/Kancare 19 card
- Income tax form for self-employment
