What is the Stroke Support Group?
The Shawnee County Stroke Support Group provides members with information about health issues, appropriate diet, medication management, and the latest technologies available to assist with recovery. Members provide one another with encouragement, support, and the opportunity to share struggles and successes. The group is facilitated by Adult Field Services Social Workers. A registered nurse is available to answer questions and monitor blood pressure.

When are the meetings?
The support group meets at 2 p.m. on the first Friday of each month at:

Blood pressure monitoring begins at 1:30 p.m.

Who is eligible?
- Stroke survivors
- Family members of stroke survivors
- Any person providing ongoing care and support for a stroke survivor

What are the costs?
Joining the Shawnee County Stroke Support Group is free; however, donations are accepted.
