Travel Immunization

General Information

The Shawnee County Health Agency (SCHA) provides a wide variety of international travel immunizations. They are only provided on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please remember to bring your insurance card and immunization records with you.

Available Immunizations

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Typhiod
  • TdaP –tetanus, diphtheria, acellular, pertussis
  • Yellow Fever
    If you are over the age of 60 and wanting a yellow fever vaccine, we suggest you consult your physician prior to receiving the vaccine.
  • Polio
  • MMR – measles, mumps, rubella
  • Meningitis
  • Varicella
When Should You Get Travel Immunizations?
SHCA suggests anyone traveling out of the country receive immunizations at least six (6) weeks prior to travel.
Do I need an appointment?
Immunizations are only done on a walk-in basis only. Parents and/or guardians are required to sign for children under 18 years old.
What should I bring with me?
Bring your international immunization record and insurance card.

Other Services

Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Testing
The Shawnee County Health Agency does provide TB skin testing in the immunization department. You can have a TB test done, during regular immunization hours, except on Thursdays.
